Ravat Proudly Wearing Her Name

I'm not sure how I neglected to post such a significant milestone, but last weekend I finally installed the transom graphics and gave her a name.  I am thrilled with how they came out, and thankful that I was able to get them cleanly applied despite just a bit more wind than I wanted to fight with.

Of course, this presents a bit of an odd situation in terms of the renaming ceremony.  In theory, this is all supposed to coincide with an at-sea ritual involving offerings to Neptune from the "old" boat, and a requested blessing of the new boat.  All of this "at sea" stuff is very difficult when your boat is situated in a cradle on the hard.

So, I'm being very careful not to allow any items bearing the old name to return aboard, and will grind off the old name on the cradle just to be safe.  I won't be able to perform the ceremony until I get her out for a commissioning shakedown which will be sometime this summer.
