Milestone: She'll Float

Notice the bottom?  No more Interprotect Grey...  All the through hulls and seacocks are installed, the barrier coat is done, and two fresh coats of VC-17 have been painted on.  At this point the hull is ready to float.

I read many warnings about how fast the VC-17 dries, and how hard it is to work with.  Not my experience at all.  I put it on with a thin nap 6" foam roller from a full size paint tray.  It went on easy.

Now I need to finish up the critical electrical work, the mast re-wiring, and a few minor tasks that are easier on dry land.

I'm seeing a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.
